Danilo puts Sansão on Tonico’s trail. Ana Francisca discovers a note tied to the stone demanding that Tonico’s ransom be paid. Tonico tries to escape. Juvenal catches up with him and ties him up. Milady flees. Olga orders Terêncio to have nothing more to do with Tonico’s kidnapping. Graça tells Celina she must come to terms with losing Guilherme. Sebástian assures Márcia that he will marry Ana Francisca. Bárbara is fed up with her life with Vivaldo. Danilo reveals to Ana Francisca that he will use Sansão to find Milady, and through her find Tonico. Sebástian tells Juvenal he will have to lower the ransom price. Ana Francisca is unsure whether Sebástian acted correctly. Ana Francisca is pleased with Danilo’s concern for Tonico. Sebástian demands that all the conspirators contribute to Tonico’s ransom. Danilo puts Sansão on Tonico’s trail. Terêncio assures Olga that Tonico will be found soon. Bárbara and Vivaldo fight. Sebástian manages to convince Juvenal to accept a smaller sum. Bernardete sees Juvenal placing another note under the saint statue and punches him. Padre Eurico breaks up the fight and Juvenal manages to escape. Ana Francisca reads the note. Yvete asks Olga for help finding out what Bárbara has been doing in secret. Marieta reveals to Yvete that Bárbara has been frequenting the circus. Ana Francisca is moved to see that everyone contributed to Tonico’s ransom. Sansão finds Milady. Ana Francisca asks Sebástian to help her deliver the ransom. Yvete reveals to Vivaldo that Bárbara has been going to the circus. Danilo tries to get Sansão to track Tonico, in vain. Ana Francisca thanks everyone who helped her. Danilo asks to go along with Ana Francisca and Sebástian to deliver the ransom.
