Episode Summary & Review

Monday, 23/06/2014 – Chapter 01. Fate unites Ana Francisca and Danilo! Ana Francisca’s father warns that Coronel Leitão has come to grab their land, and tells her to flee. He dies fighting the Colonel’s men. Ana is pursued, but she throws herself into the river and manages to escape to her godparents’ house. Ana’s godmother gives her some money so she can reach her grandmother’s house in Ventura. Terêncio tells Olga that the marching band will have to be late, because the mayor and Jezebel have not yet arrived at the podium. Vivaldo rushes Bárbara along. Danilo is irritated at having to march in step with the band. Jezebel manages to locate Ludovico in Buenos Aires and tells him she will be honored by the mayor. Ludovico says he is coming back to Brazil to inspect the factory. Terêncio sees Jezebel arriving and lets the band move forward. Margarido picks Ana up at the station and heads to town by wagon. Vivaldo hands the key of the city to Jezebel. Margarido’s horse bolts while Ana is alone inside the wagon. Danilo manages to stop the horse and saves Ana.
