Episode Summary & Review
Summary
In the Season 7 premiere, a terrorist recruits Michael to help steal equipment from a defense facility. Elsewhere, Sam and Jesse look for answers after learning Michael’s life may be in danger.
Our Take
The final season opens with Michael deep undercover and miserable, which gives Jeffrey Donovan plenty of grim material to work with, though the brooding gets repetitive fast. The CIA caper mechanics are familiar stuff, and the Sam and Jesse subplot feels like filler until it clicks into place at the end. A serviceable setup episode, but not one that sells you on the season ahead.
