Summary

Walt and Jesse seek out an unlikely partner for a new business venture. The DEA follows up new leads in its investigation.

Our Take

Madrigal’s layers: Lydia Rodarte-Quayle, the corporate executive whose nervous hands ordered a plane’s worth of methylamine, becomes the season’s most watchful wildcard. Mike, targeted for cleanup, responds by cleaning up the cleanup — and then accepting Walt’s offer to run the new operation, for his granddaughter’s future, not for greed. The episode builds the season’s economic engine (the precursor shortage) and gives Mike his moral bottom line: legacy over profit.
