An unusual strategy starts to bear fruit, while plans are set in motion that could change everything.
Our Take
Felina. The perfect ending: the Gretchen-and-Elliott visit (two fake assassins with laser pointers — Jesse and… no, Badger and Skinny Pete, hired illusions, the threat made real by theater); the ricin for Lydia in her sweetener; the confession to Skyler (“I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And I was really… I was alive”); the machine gun in the trunk mowing down the Nazi compound; Jesse strangling Todd with his chains; Walt taking a bullet from his own ricochet; and the final shot — dying in the lab, among the equipment he loved, to “Baby Blue,” touching a steel tank like a farewell to the only thing that ever fully understood him. The greatest finale ever made.
