Summary
With a squad of deadly assassins on her trail, Mizu forges ahead, but hits a hiccup when she and Ringo arrive in town on a festival day.
Our Take
A slower, moodier hour than the premiere, but the animation stays gorgeous and the festival setting gives the violence a nice contrast, all color and crowds with Mizu cutting through both. Ringo gets more to do and earns it. The Akemi subplot is the drag here, though it clearly matters later. Worth your time, even if it’s mostly setup.
