Summary

Just before he is to undergo the operation that will restore his sanity, Harvey Dent is kidnapped by a mysterious villain. Batman and Robin split up to nab the criminal behind the scheme to abduct the Dark Knight’s old friend. They suspect that either the Penguin or Rupert Thorne may be behind the kidnapping. But is it really the Penguin or Thorne behind the kidnapping? Or is it someone else with a grudge against Harvey?

Our Take

A middling Two-Face outing that wants to be a mystery but telegraphs its answer early, so the Penguin and Thorne detours feel like padding. The emotional core, Batman’s stubborn loyalty to Harvey, lands well and the final confrontation has real weight. It’s a decent watch for Two-Face fans, just don’t expect the sharp writing of his earlier episodes.
