Episode Summary & Review
Summary
After Michael announces he’s marrying Rita, George Sr. worries that she’s after their family’s money. But when Rita’s Uncle Trevor tries to stop the wedding by revealing some surprising information about Rita, Michael must decide if he wants to walk down the aisle.
Our Take
The Rita storyline pays off here with one of the season’s better payoff episodes, and Charlize Theron commits fully to the reveal without winking at the audience. The Uncle Trevor material and George Sr.’s paranoia give the Bluths plenty of awful behavior to bounce off Michael’s cluelessness. It’s a solid, funny half hour, though it leans on running jokes you really need the previous episodes for.
