Summary
After Gob is imprisoned by American forces, Michael and Buster travel to Iraq to free him; George-Michael throws a surprise birthday party for Maeby.
Our Take
The Iraq stuff is sillier than the show’s usual grounded absurdity, but it mostly lands thanks to Buster’s panic and some great George Sr. payoffs. The birthday party subplot is thinner, though Maeby and George-Michael keep it watchable. A strong late-season episode that balances the serialized jokes longtime fans love with enough fresh material for everyone else.
