Summary
When Jack is attracted to a student’s mother at a parent teacher conference, he feigns interest in her son, Colin. A group of parents complain to Principal Durbin when they notice a piece of controversial student art from Mary’s class.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Jack being terrible to a kid for his own gain, which is the show’s whole engine, so it mostly works. The parent complaint subplot with Mary’s art class gets some decent lines but feels like filler. A perfectly fine half hour that coasts on Glenn Howerton’s commitment to being awful, though the laughs get thinner toward the end.
