Episode Summary & Review
Summary
After Grant strikes at Coulson through someone close to him, Coulson swears revenge and goes after the only thing that Grant cares about. Meanwhile, Mack takes command of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Jemma and Fitz are captured during a reconaissance mission.
Our Take
This is a grim, revenge-driven hour that trades the usual team banter for Coulson’s single-minded hunt, and Clark Gregg sells the rage well. The Fitz and Simmons subplot keeps things moving, though some of the villain scheming feels like setup for the midseason finale rather than its own story. Worth watching, but it’s more grim than fun.
