Summary
Coulson goes on the attack to save Skye – enlisting the aid of Ward’s former S.O. John Garrett — and uncovers shocking truths about his own life and S.H.I.E.L.D..
Our Take
A tense, plot-forward hour that finally cracks open the mystery of Coulson’s resurrection, and the reveal at the facility is genuinely creepy. Bill Paxton’s Garrett makes a fun, cocky addition to the cast even if the Skye stakes feel a bit manufactured. Worth watching for the mythology alone, just don’t expect the character beats to land as hard.
