Summary
Finn and Fern’s carefree visit to some old ruins turns disastrous.
Our Take
A solid, somewhat heavy closer that trades the show’s usual silliness for a slow-building dread between Finn and Fern. The fight itself lands hard, and the ending genuinely stings, but the first half meanders more than it should. Not the strongest finale Adventure Time has given us, though the emotional payoff makes it worth sitting through the slower setup.
