Summary
Princess Bubblegum tries to warn Finn why he can’t engage in a relationship with Flame Princess anymore, but Finn and Jake just think she’s jealous.
Our Take
A surprisingly heavy episode for this show, and it earns it. The romance plot stays grounded in Finn’s teen logic while Bubblegum’s panic gives the whole thing real stakes, and the payoff lands because the show trusts you to catch up. A few gags overstay their welcome, but this is one of season four’s better half hours.
