Summary
Finn and Jake enter Marceline’s mind to awaken her from a sleep spell she had cast on herself, without knowing that they are being tricked by a person from her past.
Our Take
A sneaky little episode that packs a real punch. The trip through Marceline’s memories gives us our best look yet at her history, and the twist lands hard without feeling cheap. It’s short and tight, with Ash being the perfect kind of slimeball villain you love to hate. Easily one of the strongest half hours this season, and well worth a rewatch.
