Cole’s final option effort to stop the Army of the 12 Monkeys brings him to Tokyo in the year 1987.
Our Take
This one slows things down for a Ramse-heavy backstory hour in 1987 Tokyo, and honestly it’s the first episode where the show’s big twist actually lands with some weight. The pacing drags in the middle stretch, though, and Cole feels sidelined in his own story. Worth watching for the reveal, just don’t expect the usual time-jumping momentum.
