Cupertino Premieres on CBS: The Kings Take On Silicon Valley

CBS has launched Cupertino, a legal dramedy from Robert and Michelle King starring Mike Colter and Rachel Keller as two lawyers who declare war on Silicon Valley.

CBS premiered Cupertino on October 8, and the early word is strongly positive. The legal dramedy comes from Robert and Michelle King, the team behind The Good Wife, The Good Fight and Elsbeth, and it aims its satire squarely at the tech industry.

Mike Colter plays Michael Price, a lawyer wrongly fired from the startup he helped build, and Rachel Keller plays Olivia Siffre, an attorney dismissed before she could report harassment by her boss. The two open their own firm out of an unfinished luxury office space and take on clients that no one else will touch: ordinary people harmed by the giants of Silicon Valley. The episode 1 conflict centers on a generative AI model built to look and sound like Olivia without her consent.

The supporting cast includes Busy Philipps, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Ella Stiller, Nik Dodani and Joe Morton. The AV Club called the premiere audacious and entertaining, and TV Insider named it the best new show of the fall. Cupertino airs Thursdays on CBS and streams on Paramount+ the next day.
