Prime Video went big at New York Comic Con this weekend with a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099, the limited series that streams all eight episodes on November 25. Showrunner Silka Luisa joined stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer on the Prime Video panel on Sunday, where the streamer also unveiled new key art.
The story picks up fifty years after Blade Runner 2049, in a Los Angeles rebuilt by replicants after the uprising the films always predicted. Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who takes on one last identity as a Blade Runner, and Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant days from dying. Together they hunt a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse a fragile city, and the new footage leans into a missing replicants conspiracy and a rumored cure for all replicants.
The cast also includes Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Matthew Needham, Katelyn Rose Downey, Sheila Atim and Tom Burke, with Jonathan van Tulleken directing the first two episodes. Ridley Scott and Alcon executives executive produce. A full eight episode drop makes this one of the bigger streaming nights of November.
