Monday, October 19
Tonho and Omar cannot reach Jendal. Mirinho scolds Virgínia for putting Alika’s life at risk. Sebastião proposes running away with Virgínia to Rio de Janeiro. Miguel tells Salma he has decided to approve her union with Omar. Everyone at Geralda’s boarding house condemns Sebastião’s behavior, and he leaves. Teresa announces to Niara that Jendal has taken Alika to Batanga. Onildo reports Jendal’s presence in Brazil to chief of police Alvarenga. Tonho tells Caetana he has decided to go after Alika in Batanga, and Omar tells Salma he is going with his friend. Queen Menemi meets Kênia. Niara says she will go with Tonho and Omar to Batanga. Alika has a vision and realizes she is pregnant with Tonho’s child.
Tuesday, October 20
Alika is overcome with emotion as her pregnancy is confirmed. Teresa, Onildo and Salma say goodbye to Niara, Tonho and Omar. Mirinho and Virgínia return to the mill house, and the young man learns that Tonho went after Alika. Bartô tries to convince Sebastião to invest in Veneranda’s shrine. Mirinho confesses to Manoel that he plans to sell the mill and flee Barro Preto. Graça tries to cheer Virgínia up. Menemi trains the women for battle. Led by José/Zambi, Akin, Ladisa and Dumi, the rebels begin the takeover of the palace in Batanga. Binta is furious with Pascoal. Jendal makes Alika a proposal, and she ends up revealing her pregnancy to the king.
Wednesday, October 21
Jendal vows revenge on Alika. Binta orders Pascoal to capture Dumi and Kênia before Jendal reaches Batanga. Zenóbio tells Januário that Tonho may own a great fortune. Severino reveals to Mirinho how valuable Tonho’s lands are. Burak mobilizes his soldiers to join the uprising in Batanga and help Omar. Rosa tells Nilo of her suspicions about Severino. Mirinho opens a bank account in Virgínia’s name, and Manoel grows suspicious. Virgínia bleeds and fears she may lose her baby. Chinua announces to José/Zambi, Dumi and Akin that Jendal has captured Alika. Binta asks Campbell for help winning the war in Batanga.

Campbell and Chinua react to Binta’s request. Sebastião takes Virgínia to be examined by Onildo. Mirinho schemes to get rid of Virgínia, and Marta warns Diógenes of her son in law’s real intentions. Manoel is struck by Mirinho’s plans to seize Tonho’s valuable lands. Mundica realizes Rosa is using Manoel to make Ciço jealous. Bartô considers asking the governor for funds to build Veneranda’s shrine. Nilo confronts Severino about how close he has gotten to Mirinho. Sebastião is mistreated by Virgínia. Severino breaks into Caetana’s house and finds the promissory notes Mirinho is after.
Friday, October 23
Severino steals the promissory notes from Caetana’s house, and Vitalino sees him. Dona Menina scolds Januário for hiding his love for Ana Maria. Caetana is alarmed to find her house ransacked. Dumi warns Menemi and the other women of the danger Alika is in at Jendal’s hands. Tonho, Omar and Niara try to keep their hopes of defeating Jendal alive. Severino hands the promissory notes over to Mirinho. Adônis announces that Miguel is out of jail. Mauro arrives in Barro Preto for the town doctor position, surprising Onildo. Mirinho tells Januário he owns Tonho’s lands.
Saturday, October 24
Caetana discovers Tonho’s promissory notes were stolen from her house. Jendal mocks the love letter Alika writes to Tonho. Onildo tells Mauro of his plans to go to Batanga. Nilo confronts Severino and throws his son out of the house. Fuad asks to court Belmira. Sebastião confesses to Father Viriato, saying Virgínia’s baby could be his. Ana Maria reveals to Caetana and Januário that Casemiro left the lands to Tonho in his will. Onildo says goodbye to everyone and prepares his journey to Batanga. Severino demands Mirinho’s help. Ana Maria demands that Aderbal produce Casemiro’s will.
