Miguel is called as a witness. Terêncio awaits the arrival of the undersecretary of the Secretariat of Public Safety. Maurício asks Selma to marry him. Olga testifies in Jezebel’s favor. Dr. Paulo shouts that she is a liar. Guilherme calls his secret witness: Padre Eurico, who shows Ludovico’s signature in the marriage registry book and vouches for its authenticity because he was an altar boy at the time. Sofia accuses him of wanting to benefit Ana Francisca. Padre Eurico calls in the old priest who officiated the wedding. The judge accepts the book as evidence. Olga makes it clear she will pretend to have known nothing if Jezebel and Sebastian are accused. Peixoto hands Dr. Paulo one of Lili’s shoes, which fell one day when she was in the car with Danilo. Graça feels unwell. Lili puts the shoe on and Dr. Paulo is furious. Margot asks Beto to wait one more day before leaving. Dr. Paulo recommends absolute rest and Celina promises she will take care of Graça. The judge declares that Jezebel’s document is forged and she faints. The judge rules that all the assets must be returned to Ana Francisca. Jezebel accuses Sebastian of the forgery, which he denies. She slaps him. Ana Francisca, Danilo and Tonico return to the old house. Ana Francisca tells Epaminondas he will have a job at the factory, but no longer in the house. Jezebel and Sebastian are taken to the police station. The undersecretary takes over the police station and Jezebel defies him. Everyone is arrested, including Terêncio. Márcia fights with Timóteo because he does not even know how to eat with fork and knife. Miguel warns that she may be tempted once again by fake gold. Guilherme fears their son is in danger; Celina asks him to keep hope. Sofia defends Jezebel and Terêncio but tells them to leave Sebastian in jail. Cândida goes to work at Aninha’s house. Jezebel has nowhere to live and Ana Francisca pays her expenses at the hotel. Terêncio is removed from his post and Peixoto takes over provisionally as police chief. Olga declares that the only solution for her life is to win Danilo.
