The Belcher family is getting some Christmas cheer ahead of Season 17. Creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard used the Bob’s Burgers panel at New York Comic Con on Saturday to announce the release date for the Hulu exclusive holiday short On the Fort Day of Christmas, and teases a first look. The special premieres Dec. 7 on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US.
In the short, Tina, Gene and Louise seize a record breaking Christmas snowstorm to build one giant snow fort in Seymour’s Bay. It is the first Bob’s Burgers production made exclusively for Hulu, and it fills the gap left by Season 17, which moves to a midseason window on Fox in early 2027.
The series is renewed through Season 19, so the burger business has a long runway. Sixteen seasons are streaming on Hulu now.
