Marvel gave X-Men fans a big treat at New York Comic-Con on October 8. During the Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel, the studio showed the first footage from Season 3 of X-Men ’97, the animated hit streaming on Disney+.
The clip features the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, including Pyro, Avalanche, Blob and Toad, tagging a wall with the words mutant freedom before a newly redesigned Sentinel drops in for a fight. Executive producer Brad Winderbaum also confirmed that animation on Season 3 is wrapping up and animatics for Season 4 are already underway, which points to a 2027 premiere for the next season.
Season 2 of X-Men ’97 premiered in July 2026 and is streaming now on Disney+, so this season 3 look lands at the perfect moment for fans catching up.
