Princess Astra forms an uneasy alliance with Ming the Merciless so that she can get revenge on Flash Gordon, whom she believes is responsible for her mother’s death. She reveals to Ming the secret of her people; clay that turn people into mindless zombies. The only place it can be found is the Bandar village in Africa, the home of the Phantom! Princes Astra captures the Phantom and uses him to lure Flash Gordon to her base of operations.
