Comedy Central has released the first trailer for the next episode of South Park, and the target this time is the tech billionaires putting AI data centers in everyone’s backyards. In the clip Butters, sweet and usually unflappable, reaches his limit, smashing a TV and a laptop before phoning an exterminator to have the billionaires removed. His warning to Mr. Garrison’s class is blunt: there are more of these stupid billionaires every day.
The episode is titled Billionaire Weenietown, the second of Season 29, and it airs Wednesday, September 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central with a Paramount+ stream the next day. The season has been running under the name South America, the show’s on purpose bit at Donald Trump’s habit of renaming places, and the first episode, about kids on e-bikes, pulled one of the most watched premieres in the series across Comedy Central and Paramount+.
Season 29 is on a every-other-week schedule this fall, so the rest of the run lands October 14, October 28, November 11 and November 25. The data center angle follows the news cycle the way the show always does: a Pew survey out this month found 54% of Americans now think data centers are bad for the environment, up from 39% in January.
