Jessica Lange is coming back to American Horror Story, and she is bringing company. In a new interview, the star confirmed that Season 13 will have her reprise all four of the characters she played across the anthology, and she is debuting a secret fifth character on top of them.
Lange said on Good Morning America that the idea of bringing her four characters together was what pulled her back to Ryan Murphy’s horror series. She also revealed that she begged for a musical number this season, a nod to her famous turns singing The Name Game and Life on Mars in earlier installments.
American Horror Story 13 is built as a mashup of every past season, with Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd all returning as well. The season premieres September 24 on FX and streams on Hulu. Lange last appeared in the franchise in Apocalypse in 2018.
