Josh and Lindsay consider a new chapter for their lives. Ashley encourages Austin to get closer to Eunice.
Our Take
This is the quiet middle chapter that Beef does well, letting the characters sit in their bad decisions long enough for the discomfort to register. The longer scenes work because the actors aren’t rushing toward a punchline, though a couple of conversations circle the same point twice. It’s a slow burn hour that rewards patience, even if it mostly sets up what comes next.
