Summary
After facing Despero and losing because of Despero’s mental training, John has to retrain himself so he can use his power ring to help the League end Despero’s reign. Flash, Hawkgirl, and Jonn Jonzz accompany Kilowog to Despero’s planet to help John stop him.
Our Take
The conclusion to the Despero arc works better than most Part 2s because it’s really about John Stewart getting his confidence back, and his ring-slinging rematch delivers. Kilowog is a fun addition, though the brainwashed-planet material gets a bit repetitive. A solid, satisfying wrap-up that earns its action beats.
