Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Green Lantern’s old friend Rex Mason, now working for a shady industrialist, suffers an “accident” arranged by his jealous employer and is transformed into the superhero Metamorpho.
Our Take
This one leans hard on tragedy, and Rex Mason’s transformation is genuinely unsettling to watch. The animation on Metamorpho’s shapeshifting is a nice touch, but the middle stretch of setup drags and the jealous-villain plot feels like a rerun of better soap operas. Worth it mostly for the emotional fallout with Green Lantern, and part two should pay it off.
