Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Gotham’s crime families meet to discuss the fear toxin’s hold on the city – only to be confronted by the mastermind himself. As Dick and Barbara consult the Oracle to preempt Crane’s next move, Starfire and Blackfire reach an understanding.
Our Take
A slow-burn setup episode that mostly works because Vincent Kartheiser is having a ball as Crane, oozing menace even in a room full of mobsters. The Dick and Barbara scenes drag a bit, but the Blackfire and Starfire reconciliation finally gives their storyline some real feeling. Worth watching, just don’t expect much action.
