Our Take
This is the episode where the show stops coasting on its odd-couple setup and starts squeezing its characters for real consequences, and it’s better for it. The comedy takes a back seat this hour, which mostly works, though a couple of scenes drag when the plot machinery gets loud. Worth your time if you’ve come this far.
