Summary
Nate gets caught in the worst “parent trap” ever.
Our Take
Nate digging himself deeper into an escalating lie is classic Detour territory, and the show’s knack for cringe comedy mostly carries the episode. Some gags run past their expiration point and the kids feel sidelined this week, but the escalating paranoia keeps things moving. A solid middle-of-the-road half hour, funny enough even if it doesn’t push the season’s larger story anywhere.
