The Poe Cup race is the highlight here, a chaotic, mean-spirited competition that fits the show’s tone perfectly and gives the supporting students a real moment to shine. The sheriff interrogation scenes drag a bit and feel like table-setting. Still, the pacing mostly holds, and Ortega keeps delivering deadpan lines that land. Worth your time, especially for the back half.
