Summary
As Josh and Eli head back to the high school for very different reasons, Principal Burr lays down the law and seeks help from the smart kids.
Our Take
The season’s endgame kicks in and the show finally starts acting like it has somewhere to go. Burr’s recruitment of the brainy kids gives Matthew Broderick his best material in weeks, even if the Josh and Eli split feels like table-setting for the finale. A decent hour that moves pieces around without much payoff of its own.
