Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Jeremy, Richard and James take on three German motoring rivals (including Nurburgring legend Sabine Schmidt) and face their toughest challenge yet, not mentioning the war. James chauffeurs some exceedingly large sumo wrestlers in some exceeding strange Japanese cars, and Richard attacks the test track in Mazda’s remarkable Furai concept car.
Our Take
The Germany versus Britain challenge is the real draw here, with Sabine Schmitz comfortably outclassing the boys and making it look easy. The sumo segment is sillier than it is funny, though the Japanese kei cars get some genuine laughs. The Furai test track run is gorgeous but over too quick. A strong episode overall, worth your time even if the middle drags a bit.
