Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Gob decides to lock himself in his father’s prison for 24 hours to get back in with the alliance, and to spend quality time with his father. Michael takes Gob’s girlfriend to an awards show, and Buster inadvertently flirts with his mother’s rival.
Our Take
A solid early episode that leans on Gob’s prison stunt for big laughs, and mostly delivers. The Buster subplot is where the show’s weirdness really starts to click, even if the awards show material feels a bit thin. Not the season’s best, but the running gags are settling in nicely.
