Summary
Bound by more than blood, the Elrics have long shared joy and pain. Now, with Al wandering the frigid void – and Ed losing blood by Kimblee’s hand – the mystical connection of their souls could prove fatal.
Our Take
A grim, scattered hour that splits its time between Ed bleeding out in a snowdrift and Al adrift on the other side of the Gate. The Ed and Kimblee confrontation has real teeth, but the void sequences get repetitive and heavy-handed with the existential monologue. Worth watching for the cliffhanger alone, just don’t expect the pacing to carry you there smoothly.
