Summary
Vash is looking for a renowned gunsmith named Frank Marion, he finds him – but the legendary gunsmith is a drunken mess! Making things worse, a group of bandits has learned that there is no sheriff in town!
Our Take
A quieter episode that leans on Vash’s charm instead of shootouts, and mostly gets away with it. The drunk gunsmith storyline is a bit predictable, but the town’s cowardice gives Vash a chance to be genuinely decent rather than just goofy. Some pacing drag in the middle keeps it from ranking higher, though the ending lands well. Solid, if not essential.
