Episode Summary & Review
Summary
King Olaf feels confident about the result of the election of the King of all Norway as the kings and jarls visit Harald’s territory; Lagertha’s village is abuzz due to bandit attacks; Ivar is forced to confront an unfortunate element of his past.
Our Take
A slow-burn setup hour that spends too much time on political chatter and not enough on the tension it’s clearly building toward. Lagertha’s storyline is the highlight, giving Katheryn Winnick some real material to work with after a quiet stretch. Ivar’s subplot has moments but feels like table-setting. Watchable if you’re invested, though don’t expect much forward motion.
