Summary
Ivar meets his match in Bishop Heahmund, while Floki returns to Kattegat and Bjorn receives a lavish welcome in North Africa.
Our Take
Ivar finally finding someone who can out-talk him is the best thing here, and the bishop scenes crackle with real tension. Bjorn’s North African detour looks gorgeous but feels like a vacation episode, and Floki’s homecoming mostly just sets the table for later. A solid middle-of-the-road hour that’s worth it for the prisoner scenes alone.
