Summary
The Vikings go all out for a second assault on Paris. Recognizing the do or die state of affairs for his city, Emperor Charles must make a difficult decision. In Wessex, Judith is compelled to make a difficult decision of her own.
Our Take
The Paris assault delivers the spectacle this season has been building toward, with the siege sequences genuinely exciting even when the show stretches believability with its ramp tricks. The Wessex material drags by comparison and feels like an unwelcome cutaway. Worth it for the battle alone, just don’t expect much forward movement elsewhere.
