Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Cullen’s nitroglycerin experiment provides an explosive backdrop for the railroad life in Truckee. Meanwhile, Durant’s plan turns deadly.
Our Take
A mostly satisfying wrap-up hour that leans on spectacle over resolution, with the nitro sequence delivering real tension even if the stakes feel manufactured. Durant’s scheming finally pays off in a way that lands, though some subplots get shortchanged in the shuffle. Worth it for fans keeping up, but it won’t convert anyone on the fence.
