Summary
Cullen goes back to work on the railroad and butts heads with his new boss. Meanwhile, Durant and Campbell clash over a valuable piece of real estate.
Our Take
This one’s a slow-building hour that mostly works as setup, with Cullen’s uneasy return giving Anson Mount plenty of gruff material to chew on. The Durant and Campbell feud over that land deal adds some welcome scheming, though a few subplots feel like marking time. Nothing here blows the doors off, but the tension simmers nicely and it moves the season’s pieces where they need to go.
