Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Elam’s life hangs in the balance, leaving Cullen with a monumental decision to make. Meanwhile, Durant risks his financial fortune, and Lily confronts her late husband’s relatives.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Elam’s brush with death, and Common sells the vulnerability well even if the pacing around it feels stretched. The Durant subplot adds some decent tension, but Lily’s storyline with the in-laws mostly treads water. A solid middle-of-the-road hour that sets up bigger things without delivering much on its own. Fine if you’re already invested.
