Vikings, but a comedy, and one of the funniest deadpan shows ever made. A Norwegian village in the year 790 runs on raids, slaves, and petty committee meetings, and the jokes live in the gap between how modern everyone acts and how brutal everything is. Every actor plays it completely straight, which is exactly why it works.
Season three rewinds to before season one as a prequel and is somehow the best of the lot. A cult classic that deserves a bigger cult.
Our take: 8/10.
