Our Take
This one hinges on a twist you might see coming, but the payoff still lands thanks to how it rattles Ezra’s faith in people. The cat-and-mouse through the Senate building keeps things moving, and Freddie Prinze Jr. gets some good material as Kanan plays mentor at the worst possible moment. A solid mid-season hour that earns its emotional beat without overplaying it.
