Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Mariner and Boimler are stranded on an uninhabited planet with a sentient computer. On the Cerritos, Lt. Commander Billups must prove his engineering abilities to an old adversary.
Our Take
A solid bottle episode that leans into Trek’s old “malicious computer” tradition while having some fun with Billups’ odd royal backstory. The stranded-duo stuff is familiar but the voice cast sells the banter, and Billups finally getting his moment is genuinely satisfying. It’s not ambitious, but it’s brisk and charming, and the character work makes it an easy hour to recommend.
