Summary
A bounty hunter boards the Serenity hoping to capture River for the Alliance.
Our Take
This is a slow, tense hour built almost entirely on one performance, and Summer Glau delivers. The bounty hunter’s philosophical monologues are a bit self-indulgent, but the cat-and-mouse game through the ship keeps things gripping. It’s a strange, atmospheric close to the season that trades action for dread. Worth watching, even if it occasionally trips over its own cleverness.
