Summary
After finding themselves in a fight with supporters of The Alliance in a place that fairly resembles a bar, Mal, Zoe and Jayne walk away with knowledge that a man named Niska might have a new job for them.
Our Take
A fun, fast-moving hour that leans on the crew’s banter more than the actual job, which is pretty thin stuff. Nathan Fillion carries the whole thing with easy charm, and the bar fight opener sets the tone nicely. Some characters barely register yet, but the show already knows what it wants to be. Worth your time, even if it plays like a warm-up episode.
