Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Jack and Ashi grow closer as they fight for their lives against first Aku’s tiger soldiers and then an alien leech prisoner.
Our Take
This is the episode where the Jack and Ashi relationship finally clicks, and the show sells it with a near-silent opening stretch that lets the animation do the talking. The action beats are strong, especially the leech fight, though the middle section leans on montage a bit too long. Still, it’s a satisfying hour that earns its emotional payoff rather than rushing it.
