Summary
Jack faces his newest enemy, while Aku ponders what to do with his unaging foe
Our Take
A lean, brutal half hour that mostly ditches dialogue for pure survival horror, and the show is better for it. The Daughters of Aku are genuinely frightening, and Jack’s exhaustion after fifty years finally feels like real weight. The action is crisp but the pacing sags a little in the middle. Still, this is a strong start to the season’s new tone.
